Vietnam-Japan opera project “Anio Princess” introduced
Upon addressing the function, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu underscored the importance of the cultural event to the citizens of the two countries. The Deputy Minister added that through the touching love story of a Japanese merchant and Vietnamese princess Ngoc Hoa, the opera project can provide an overall picture of the two countries’ strong diplomatic ties which date back to the early 17th century. He noted that the introduction of the opera and other important activities will allow people to learn more about the respective cultures of both countries, further bolstering the traditional friendship whilst bringing prosperity and contributing to promoting peace and stability within the region.
