Hanoi opens new VND500 billion road in southeast district

The project connects the eastern road of Hoang Mai district’s administrative area to Tam Trinh street, with construction beginning on the project in 2019. Work on the area helps to connect main roads, reduce pressure on Belt Road No.3, and foster economic development in the southeast area of Hanoi. The road is one of the capital’s key transport works and aims to address traffic congestion. The road runs through Thinh Liet and Yen So wards in Hoang Mai district. Six Vietnamese Universities Featured in 2024 Global University Ranking

Six Universities named in THE World Rankings THE (Times Higher Education) is one of the most famous and influential university rating organizations globally, along with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). According to the latest announcement by THE, Vietnam has six higher education institutions in the world university rankings for 2024. The six are Duy Tan University in Da Nang, Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University in Hanoi, Vietnam National University in HCMC, and Hue University. Vietnam National University in Hanoi (VNU) is named in the 1201–1500 range out of 1904 ranked higher education institutions, according to the published results. Vietnamese film receives 5-minute standing ovation at Cannes

‘Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell,’ which vies for the Camera d’Or Award against 17 other competitors in the Directors’ Fortnight section, was premiered at 4:45 pm in France. Directed by Pham Thien An, the movie tells the story of a journey taken by a young man named Thien, who is tasked with delivering his sister-in-law’s body to their countryside hometown following a tragic motorcycle accident. Amid the mystical landscapes of rural Vietnam, Thien begins a search for his older brother, who vanished years ago.  As the debut screening of the movie ended after three hours on Wednesday, audiences rose and stood applauding for five minutes. According to AP News , a five-minute standing ovation would count as a dream response in most places in the world although it is supposedly tepid in Cannes.
