Celebration of Vietnam’s Mid-Autumn Festival in Japan through Cultural Exchange Day

The Vietnam Festival “Hello Saitama” will take place in the Japanese prefecture of Saitama from September 1-3, re-enacting the atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival and bringing it to the Japanese people and the Vietnamese community living there, according to a report by VNA. The festival is sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties this year. Two Overseas Vietnamese Receive Certificates of Merit for Their Contributions to Da Nang City

The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs collaborated with the Da Nang municipal Department of Foreign Affairs on August 2 to present certificates of merit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs to two overseas Vietnamese individuals in recognition of their positive contributions to the growth of the city. They are Cecile Le Pham, a Vietnamese expatriate in France, and Bao Hoa, a Vietnamese expatriate in the US. Despite the challenges posed by the volatile and unpredictable global markets, agile businesses in the woodworking industry are finding opportunities to thrive, according to experts at the forum. The Department of Forestry has reported that forestry product exports reached an estimated USD 6.42 billion in the first half of the year, experiencing a year-on-year decrease of 28.8%. The 8th International Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts was officially opened on the night of August 2 in Binh Dinh province, according to a report by VNA. The festival, which takes place from August 2 to August 5, includes various events such as a flame lighting ceremony, talk shows, martial arts performances, tours to historical and cultural sites, and exhibitions showcasing the activities of local martial arts clubs. Over 1,200 athletes from 77 delegations around the world have registered to participate in the festival. The geopark was officially designated as a global geopark by UNESCO in 2020. It encompasses a vast area of 4,700 square kilometers, spanning Gia Nghia Town, as well as Krong No, Cu Jut, Dak Mil, Dak Song, and Dak Glong Districts. The geopark showcases unique attributes encompassing geology, archaeology, culture, and biodiversity within the highland region. Singer Do To Hoa and rapper Ha Le have released their new single, “Shi Ni” (It’s You), in Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. The Chinese lyrics were written by Meng Ran, the Vietnamese lyrics by Pham Lich, and the English lyrics by Ha Le. “Shi Ni” was initially released in China in 2022 and quickly gained popularity, leading to various remixes in different languages. Vietnamese singer Pham Lich also covered the song and released the Vietnamese version five months ago, with over 28 million views on Pham Lich’s YouTube channel. The singer Do To Hoa and the rapper Ha Le are working on a new music project. Hoa, who won the chamber music category of the Sao Mai 2017 singing contest, obtained a master’s degree in vocal performance in China.
