Japanese Film Festival 2023 happening this month

The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam will host the annual Japanese Film Festival in Vietnam later this month to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Vietnam. The festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from October 27 to November 9 (at CineStars Hai Ba Trung); Danang from November 17 to 19 (Metiz Cinema); Haiphong (Galaxy Nguyen Kim Cinema) from December 1 to 3; and in Hanoi from December 8 to 21 (National Cinema Center). Japanese movies presented at the Japanese Film Festivals in Vietnam have been known to be the latest releases in Japan with a variety of titles and genres that offer the audience the opportunity to see Japan from different perspectives. Mass Wedding in HCM City Unites 80+ Low-income Couples

Mass weddings are becoming more popular among couples who want to tie the knot but do not have the funds to have their dream wedding. Mass weddings have taken over the wedding industry. The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Workers Support Centre organized a mass wedding ceremony for 82 couples on Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20) to help less well-off workers have a proper ceremony, VNS reported. The couples offer flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue at Ho Chi Minh Statue Park in front of the City Hall. American guitarist Steve Vai (Steven Siro Vai) performed brilliantly in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on October 19 evening as part of his Inviolate World Tour, receiving thunderous applause from spectators, reported VOV. Based on the data provided, Touring Data has reported that Blackpink’s concerts in Hanoi had the sixth highest revenue among all the Asian stops on their world tour. The concerts were part of Blackpink’s Born Pink world tour and sold a total of 67,443 tickets, generating a revenue of US$13.66 million. Central Vietnam inundated after hours of torrential rain

Numerous areas in Da Nang city are inundated by heavy rain Water overflow into many houses in areas of Hoa Khanh and Lien Chieu. Many people spend a sleepless night taking the water out of their homes. Local residents put things up high to avoid damage by floodwater. A hospital in Da Nang is flooded. Power outage hit many areas in Da Nang at around midnight of October 14, and many residents fail to contact local authorities for help as their phones report low batteries.  Police and armed forces along with local authorities are dispatched to flooded areas to take the locals to safe places. Many cars and motorbikes are stuck when driving through flooded streets. Traffic police and rescuers work very hard to move vehicles trapped in flooded water.
