Khanh Hoa Hosts Inaugural Cow Cart Race in Vietnam

Exciting Race in Ninh Hung Commune, Khanh Hoa Province The race held in Ninh Hung Commune, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province has generated great excitement among both locals and tourists. The competition featured six teams, each consisting of two men and one woman, racing on cow carts along a 1.1-kilometer racetrack that winds through picturesque rice fields and local roads in Tan Hung Hamlet, Ninh Hung Commune. During the race, the participants were required to load the large straw rolls onto their cow carts. These rolls had been prepared by the organizer and were provided along the way. Although most of the cows participating in the race had not previously competed together, they all exhibited a high level of energy. Vietnam Ranks 11th in Singapore’s Imports in 2019

Vietnamese rice and cereals exports to Singapore witness a high growth rate. Photo: VOV Two-way trade turnover reached roughly SGD16.8 billion in the first seven months of this year, a fall of 9.41% on-year, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore. The country has mainly exported machinery, equipment, mobile phones, components, and spare parts, along with glass and glass-based products to the city-island nation, VOV reported. Most notably, rice and cereals exports recorded a high growth rate compared to recent months. Meanwhile, exports of oil and gas, as well as petroleum products, optical machines, measuring instruments, and medical equipment, all endured a sharp decrease. Furthermore, 13 out of 21 import groups from Singapore to Vietnam enjoyed positive growth, including machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts, computers, plastic and plastic products, paper and paper products, tobacco, and alternative tobacco products. A Korean Woman’s Insightful Story of Studying in Vietnam

Jayoung, a recent graduate from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, ventured to Vietnam on her own to study Vietnamese. Born in 1996 in Gyeryong city, South Korea, Jayoung shared in an interview with Tien Phong newspaper that her time in Vietnam not only allowed her to complete her studies but also taught her valuable lessons about kindness, friendship, and overcoming language and cultural barriers.
