Hanoi International Marathon draws 10,000 runners

About 10,000 domestic and international runners will join VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2023 (VPIM 2023) on October 8 to celebrate the anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2023. The VPIM 2022 attracted thousands of runners. With the theme “Hanoi Vibes”, VPIM 2023 will feature four races of 42km, 21km, 10km, 5km, all starting from the pedestrian street of Hoan Kiem Lake. Mong Cai receives 700 Chinese tourists after two days of reopening border gate

Mong Cai International Border Gate welcomes its first foreign tourist group in the post-COVID period on March 15. Several tourist spots in the area, including the Tra Co tourism site and Mong Cai border market have become bustling once again over the past few days. Uncle Ho Memorial House and Milestone 1369 are the first spots Chinese tourists visit as part of their tour after China moved to reopen its borders. Many Chinese tourists share that the tours help them to gain a better understanding of Vietnamese culture and the traditional friendship between the two nations. Quang Tri Celebrates Anniversary of the Establishment of Vietnam-Ireland Diplomatic Relations

In the celebration of the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Ireland, Quang Tri province organize many activities such as: jogging for the community “We run – We share,” handing over mobile rehabilitation vehicles for RENEW project funded by the Government of Ireland, and a lighting ceremony to celebrate Ireland’s National Day (March 17). Vietnam’s My Khe ranks among Asia’s 10 best beaches

It is the only beach in Vietnam to be named in the list. My Khe Beach, nestled in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City, is around two kilometers from the city center. The beach, which is about 900 meters long, is among the busiest in Da Nang, Nhan Dan (People) newspaper reported. My Khe is well known for soft white sand, little waves, and clean, warm seawater so that tourists can swim all year round. Jonathan Chan, a U.S. traveler, wrote on Tripadvisor that My Khe is a “gorgeous beach,” adding that “the sand is soft and fine, there are plenty of seashells, gentle waves for swimming and wading, lots of spots along the way for a drink or a beach chair under the shade. Lifeguards watch the swimming areas. Hanoi listed among locations for Pantone’s 2023 colour of the year

As the colour of the year for 2023, Viva Magenta has been described as powerful and empowering. “Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration,” the website wrote. Hanoi is one of three Asian representatives, notably being the only one in Southeast Asia, named in the list of 11 destinations around the world to find the colour. Located on the outskirts of Hanoi, Quang Phu Cau incense village is an ideal place in which visitors can find Viva Magenta. Ahead of celebrations for the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, tourists can find hundreds of bright-pink incense sticks fanned out like bouquets along the streets and courtyards, the website noted. The best time of year to visit and experience this destination is in January, immediately before the Lunar New Year, it added. Quang Ninh Museum – a black pearl by Ha Long Bay

Since its debut in 2015, the museum has become a favourite check-in spot of both domestic and foreign tourists. In 2022 Quang Ninh Museum receives around 700,000 arrivals. Quang Ninh Museum is divided into three floors, with the first introducing some natural conditions of Quang Ninh, the second displaying relics and artifacts of historical value, and the third featuring the history of coal mining. The first floor of the site is a space specifically for the sea and nature. The second floor offers visitors an insight into the life of local people through thousands of years of history.
