Heritage journey photography contest debuts

Organised by national carrier Vietnam Airlines’ in-flight magazine Heritage since 2013, the contest aims to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage and natural values of Vietnam. Photographers are encouraged to send their photos of historical and cultural relics, art and architectural works, as well as beautiful landscapes till July 31 at the latest. The award-winning photos will be featured in different publications by Heritage, offering readers, including foreign visitors, a good insight into Vietnamese people and their rich culture, as well as the country’s stunning landscapes. A total of 16 prizes worth more than VND250 million will be granted. The best photos will then be picked to be put on display at an exhibition, which is scheduled to take place in late September. Vietnam Becomes Vice President of Asia-Pacific UNESCO Clubs and Associations

Manh joined representatives of 13 AFUCA member countries examining the federation’s operations in 2021-2022 and preparations for the 10th congress of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations. Admiring Real-life Planetarium on Ma Pi Leng Pass

When it comes to tourism in the Northwest mountains of Vietnam, it is impossible to leave out Ha Giang, the land of the Nho Que river, unspoiled stone plateaus, and winding passes. One of the “most hunted” places in Ha Giang is the white cliff, also called “a place to sleep under thousands of stars”. Thai cyclist wins 3rd stage of Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament

This stage is one of the most arduous challenges of this year’s Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament, stretching about 120 kilometers from Thong Nhat District in southern Dong Nai Province to Bao Loc City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong. The cyclists had to conquer both Chuoi Pass and Bao Loc Pass, with the latter being the highlight of the stage. Before reaching Bao Loc Pass, Tran Thi Ngoc Trang of Team Vinh Long attempted to separate herself from the rest but she failed. Trang was caught up by other strong contenders, namely Shoko Kashiki of Team Biwase – Binh Duong, Nguyen Thi Thi and Nguyen Thi Thu Mai of Team Tap Doan Loc Troi, and Somrat Phetdarin of Team Thailand.  The 10-kilometer Bao Loc Pass posed a lot of challenges to the cyclists, allowing Kashiki and Phetdarin to emerge and lead the group.
