Attracting Vietnamese Intellectuals in Australia to Contribute to the Homeland: Possible Solutions

According to Nguyen Dang Thang, the Vietnamese community in Australia consists of approximately 350,000 people, which is about 1.3% of the country’s population. Around 500 highly qualified Vietnamese intellectual experts have made significant contributions in various fields in Australia. They serve as consultants for the Australian Government on projects related to Vietnam or carbon certificates. Many of them are also involved in standardizing Australia’s processes and standards in construction, infrastructure, iron and steel, aviation, investment, finance, and tax. The Vietnamese Australian Scholars Experts Association (VASEA) was launched in Melbourne, Australia in August 2023. Hanoi and HCM City Prepare for Spring Flower Markets

Hanoi will host 83 flower markets from January 20 to February 9, a week before the Lunar New Year’s Eve. Visitors to the markets can find a wide variety of flowers, ornamental plants, fruit trees, and handicraft products that are typical for the festive season. The markets will be held across the capital, with Hoan Kiem district hosting a traditional flower market on Hang Luoc street in Hang Ma ward. In addition, Hai Ba Trung district will have three flower markets in Mo market, Thong Nhat park, and Tuoi Tre park. In early February 2024, Ho Chi Minh City will launch a spring flower festival and six flower markets to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday. The annual spring flower festival will take place from February 6 to February 15, 2024, at Tao Dan Park in District 1. Cultural exchange to enhance relations between Vietnamese and Indian regions

The Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Pham S, highly appreciated the cultural heritage, tourism potential, and strengths of India in general and the Ladakh region in particular. He also introduced the unique tourism products and cultural aspects of Lam Dong province, as well as the opportunities and potential for cooperation in tourism development between the two regions. Furthermore, the official emphasized Lam Dong’s desire to continue fostering cultural and tourism connections with Ladakh, which would create more opportunities for collaboration in various fields.
