Members from foreign representative agencies in Ho Chi Minh City attended a ‘pho’ (noodle soup) cooking class under the guidance of chefs from the Saigon Professional Chefs Association (SPC) on November 23, VNA reported. A fashion store is offering discounts of up to 50%. Promotion campaigns for the Black Friday sales run from one to two weeks. ASEAN food festival to get underway in HCM City this weekend

Ho Xuan Lam, vice president of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, emphasised that the consulates of the bloc’s members will introduce typical dishes and food catering services from their countries at the event. The festival will offer local residents the opportunity to sample a range of delicious dishes from famous restaurants of Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia at food courts erected along Le Loi road in District 1 at an affordable price, Lam added. There will be a wide range of cultural activities to held during the festival, including an art exchange night made up of ASEAN member countries, a programme to introduce culinary arts, street art performances, and a barista art show. Well-known historian, publisher sign copyright agreement

The deal grants the printer exclusive rights to publish and sell all of Dau’s works. The publisher will soon release four books written, compiled and edited by Dau. These books feature the history of the South’s development in different periods from the 19th century until the 20th. Southern people, particularly farmers, and their contributions to the fight against the French colonialists, are featured. Tre Publishing House has released eight publications by Dau, including Tap Ghi Su Dia Viet (Records on History and Geography of Vietnam) in 2020. The 232-page book is on the history and geography of Vietnam. It consists of historical events and characters as well as geographical documents from the 20th century which Dau collected for several years. Dau’s articles about Sai Gon, now Ho Chi Minh City, and on Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) are also included.
