NASA Astronauts to Visit Vietnam for Space Week

Cambodia-Vietnam: A true friendship in ASEAN context

After the Khmer Empire was overthrown in the 15th century, relations between Cambodia and Vietnam have gone through many different aspects. The Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia established formal diplomatic relations on June 24, 1967. However, the alliance has faced many difficulties, both domestically and globally. Despite ups and downs in their relations, especially in the 1970s and 1980s, Cambodia and Vietnam have been able to maintain friendly relations over the past 40 years. In describing their current relationship, both nations often use phrases such as “excellent neighborliness, traditional friendliness, comprehensive cooperation, and long-lasting stability.” In 1999, when Vietnam held the ASEAN Chair, Cambodia was welcomed as the last member of the organization. Vietnam is the featured country at the 14th Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) in Singapore, as Vietnamese literature is in focus. Through various activities such as seminars, exhibitions, and book presentations, Vietnam has contributed to the success of AFCC 2023. That was shared by Claire Chiang, chairwoman of the Singapore Book Council – organizer of the AFCC 2023, when the event wrapped up on May 27.  Claire Chiang expressed her appreciation for the Vietnamese delegation’s active participation by hosting various activities. Vietnamese Scientist in UK Inspires Scientific Passion for Children

In 2019, Thanh was awarded the prestigious Royal Society Rosalind Franklin Medal by the Commonwealth Academy of Sciences for her research achievements in the field of nanomaterials for biomedicine. She used the prize money to organise a science camp in Wiltshire region of the UK to inspire high school 8th – 10th grade students to perform scientific research. Vietnamese Citizen Rescued from War Zone in Sudan

“Blooming Light, Soaking Light”: The Netherlands Bring Art Masterpieces To Hanoi

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Netherlands – Vietnam diplomatic relations, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Hanoi and Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum co-organize the exhibition “Blooming Light, Soaking Light” – introducing the masterpieces of Dutch artists from the Golden Age to the end of the 19th century.
