CARE International Projects Aid 3,000+ Women in Dak Lak Province

On October 9, the Dak Lak People’s Committee met with a delegation from CARE International in Vietnam to discuss the implementation of two projects, “She Thrives” and “She Feeds the World.” These projects aim to benefit over 3,000 women and a total of 6,000 people in ethnic minority areas. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Thien Van, praised CARE and its partners for their support in the development of Dak Lak. He expressed the need for continued cooperation and assistance from international organizations, sponsors, and NGOs to address the challenges faced by the province. The meeting concluded with hopes for future support from CARE and its partners to improve production value, modernize infrastructure, and adapt to climate change, as well as connect product consumption markets in a sustainable way to increase income for the people of Dak Lak. Over 1000 People in Thua Thien-Hue Celebrate 9th International Yoga Day

The event, the biggest of its kind in the province so far, was jointly held at Ngo Mon Square in the former imperial city of Hue by the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and Bao Viet Insurance Corporation. Monica Sharma, Director of the Indian Embassy’s Swami Vivekananda Culture Centre, highlighted the benefits of yoga in creating harmony between the body, mind, and spirit, and promoting overall well-being. National treasure goes on show in Bac Ninh province

The national treasure is kept at the Nam Hong museum. Its body has largely remained intact for thousands of years. Based on the shape, processing technique, and decorative patterns, it is said to date back between 2,200 and 2,300 years. The exhibition attracts plenty of visitors from Bac Ninh province, as well as those hailing from neighbouring localities. The jar is the only one among the 235 jars from the culture found in the nation that features decorative patterns of moving animals on its body. The museum also preserves thousands of historical items from Dong Son culture and different feudal periods. The Dong Son was a Bronze Age civilisation based in ancient Vietnam and centred at the northern Red River delta.
