Japan Vietnam Festival offers interesting baseball experience to visitors in Ho Chi Minh City

Amid the premises of the 2023 Japan Vietnam Festival, which is being held at the 23/9 Park in the city’s District 1 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, there are about 80 square meters of interactive baseball activities for all ages. Visitors can try their hand at pitching, hitting, and catching under instructions from the members of four baseball clubs, namely SaiGon STORM Baseball Club, Hochiminh City Pioneers, Shindo Binh Duong, and Samurai Saigon. Local doctor to compete at Mister Universe Tourism 2023

The Ho Chi Minh City native stands at a height of 1.85 metres tall, weighs 80 kg, and measures 105-78-105. The 27-year-old doctor shared that he expects to promote an image of dynamic and modern country to international friends, while also having more opportunities to participate in community activities during the course of the male pageant. Mister Universe Tourism is one of the world’s five largest male pageants, alongside Mister World, Mister International, Manhunt International, and Mister Global. The main goal of the annual pageant is to find fresh talent who are able to promote tourism worldwide. The male pageant has been postponed for the past three years due to the development of the COVID-19 pandemic, with this year marking the fourth edition of the contest. Bac Ha market in the early days of New Year

Bac Ha market is located approximately 76km away from the centre of Lao Cai province. Tourists can travel by car to the market which is held every Sunday. The first market session of 2023 takes place on January 1 which coincides with New Year celebrations. A couple from Hanoi spends their New Year holiday exploring Bac Ha market for the first time. Nhung, a resident of Hanoi, shares that she’s fascinated with images of ethnic children donning colourful costumes. Ethnic H’Mong couples go shopping at the market from early in the morning to purchase decorative items for their houses in 2023. Lam Thi Yen, a trader in Bac Ha market, says the number of visitors on January 1 is double that of normal days as both locals and tourists seek items for a good year ahead. Nearly 28,000 People in Hanoi Find Jobs in Two Months

Official suggests application for recognition of Ho Chi Minh City as world book capital

Thang made the proposal during a conference held by the Authority of Publication, Printing, and Distribution under the Ministry of Information and Communications in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday, hailing the city as an ‘exemplary model’ for the development of a reading culture nationwide. The title of WBC has been held each year since 2001 by a town or city committed to acting to create a culture of reading.  It can provide an important impetus to experiment and innovate in the ways that literacy and reading are promoted, as well as to invest in key infrastructure, not least libraries. Madrid in Spain was named the first WBC city in 2001 and the 2023 holder is Accra of Ghana, while Strasbourg in France is the city last recognized as the 2024 WBC.
