Spotlight on Vietnamese Culture at Asian Fair in France

This was the first time Vietnam officially participated in the event, with the aim to continue its participation in the future and contribute to promoting Vietnam as a friendly and hospitable country to international friends. Vietnam’s ambassador Dinh Toan Thang referred to Vietnam’s participation as an honorary guest at the fair, which is a significant event in 2023, marking the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations and 10 years of the strategic partnership. Planting of Vietnam-Japan friendship trees in Da Nang

The JBAD is initiating a tree plantation project in collaboration with Japanese enterprises in Da Nang. This project is part of a series of activities planned for 2023 that aim to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Japan, as well as Japan and Da Nang, according to Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the Union. Voting begins for top 10 culture, sporting, and tourism events in 2022

Voting was launched on December 6 in Hanoi by Van Hoa (Culture) newspaper under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other competent agencies. Phan Thanh Nam, deputy editor-in-chief of Van Hoa (Culture) newspaper, said voting had been cancelled for two years as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, although this year it would resume in order to honour the country’s most outstanding cultural, sporting, and tourism events. The organisers received a total of 111 nominations following submissions made by the culture, sports, and tourism departments of various cities and provinces, as well as agencies of the Ministry. A total of 15 events have been selected for the final vote to held in two forms. Academy holds first piano, vocal competition for Vietnamese in Europe

Targeting children and adolescents in the age groups of 5-12 and 13-20, the contest consists of four categories, each having one first, one second, and one third prizes. Competitors have to sing in Vietnamese using songs composed by Vietnamese musicians or the country’s folk songs. Founder of the academy and head of the organising board Pham Ha My said V-Stella 2023 aims to find Vietnamese musical talents, preserve the Vietnamese language within expatriate communities in the UK and Europe, and bring classical music closer to the overseas Vietnamese audiences.    Candidates will have to go through three rounds, with the preliminary and second one taking place virtually on February 22 and March 22 to select the Top 26 and 20, respectively.
