Preparations for Global Rice Festival Completed

The occasion is expected to provide visitors with greater insights into the past, present, and future of the Vietnamese agriculture and rice industry. Currently, farmers in the locality are urgently completing the Vietnam Rice Road. The rice plants are put on display at the event. There are many rice varieties showcased on the road, including IR50404, OM 5454, Dai Thom 8, and ST 25. Various types of specialty fruit trees of Hau Giang are also showcased throughout the road. Ancient houses are made of bamboo, thatched with leaves and tools related to rice. ‘Bay of Blood’, a documentary directed by Indian filmmaker Krishnendu Bose, brings attention to the untold suffering and resilience of millions of people over nine months from March to December 1971. A special screening of Bay of Blood, a film documenting the history of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, was organized by the British Bengali diaspora in London. ‘Bay of Blood’, a documentary film directed by Indian filmmaker Krishnendu Bose, sheds light on the untold suffering and resilience of millions of people over a nine-month period from March to December 1971. The typical Vietnamese dishes in 2022 have been announced, including 47 dishes from the north, 37 from the central region, and 37 others from the south, according to the Vietnam Culture and Culinary Association (VCCA). As scheduled, the ships will dock at islands and islets in the district, delivering supplies and gifts to people and soldiers stationed there on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival (Tet). New food street in HCM City bustling after inauguration

Many people queue up to purchase street food following the site’s inauguration ceremony. Traders prepare food from early in the morning to serve the increasing number of visitors until midnight. The price of each skewer hovers at around VND6,000 to VND20,000. The street attracts plenty of visitors at night. It has become a popular destination among foreign tourists during their trips to Ho Chi Minh City. Cars are banned from the section and motorbikes must be driven at restricted speeds to ensure safety. The food street operates from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily, starting from December 21. There are some 92 eateries situated on the street alongside dozens of shops that sell clothing, shoes, beauty products, and other goods.
