Phan Anh Son Selected as President of Vietnamese Union of Friendship Organizations

During the conference, comrade Phan Anh Son, a member of the Party Committee and the Party Secretary, Vice President – General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, was elected as the President of the organization for the 2019-2024 tenure. He will be taking over the position from comrade Nguyen Phuong Nga, who will retire on September 1, 2023.

Additionally, comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hung, the Deputy Secretary – Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and a member of the Standing Committee of the Presidium, was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2019-2024 tenure. He is also the Head of the People’s Aid Coordination Committee (PACCOM) and the Organization and Personnel Committee under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
