Honorary President of the Vietnam National Entrepreneurship Association Vu Tien Loc stressed that the current number of businesses in Vietnam is about 800,000 businesses/100 million people, which is an opportunity for foreign investors and businesses to establish and grow in Vietnam. Notably, the Vietnamese government has issued many policies to support entrepreneurs and encourage people to start businesses.
The Vietnam National Entrepreneurship Association is currently implementing six fundamental pillars to create a national start-up ecosystem, including incubation, training, consulting, commerce, and dialogue. It wants to learn more experiences of countries around the world, including Thailand about activities to promote the entrepreneurial spirit, such as the annual start-up summit; teaching and sharing experiences with local authorities, with the participation of international experts. Vietnamese start-ups also need to know more on how to build local start-up ecosystems and how to create sustainable businesses.
President of the Vietnam Young Business Association Tran Dang Nam added that among its members are in many key industries such as trade and services, construction, and manufacturing, yet there is only 10% of which are in the technology sector. This sector holds great potential for collaboration with Thai businesses because of the fast-paced development, young and active human resources.
