The affirmation was made by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Nanning city, Guangxi province of China, on September 16 on the occasion of attending the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS). The highly-anticipated game will kick off at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi at 7:30 pm (Vietnam time) and will be broadcast live on the FPT Play platform and VTV Can Tho channel. Vietnam made a strong start during their first match of the tournament on December 21 as the 2008 and 2018 winners thrashed Laos 6-0 in Vientiane.
