Brazilian girl crowned Miss Charm 2023 in Vietnam
Russo’s victory was not controversial because the beauty queen made a good performance on the last night of the competition. On stage, other contestants were constantly cheering to congratulate the Brazilian beauty.
However, the result came as a surprise to some spectators because Missosology had earlier excluded the Brazilian beauty on the list of potential candidates. Meanwhile, Vietnamese contestant Thanh Thanh Huyen had been predicted to win the first runner-up title, but in the end she bowed out of the top 10.
Luma Russo is 1.68m tall with measurements of 89-61-92cm. The Miss Divinópolis 2019 represented her state at Miss Supranational Brazil that year.
The titles of first and second runners-up were awarded to contestants of the Philippines and Indonesia, respectively.
Miss Charm was first held in Vietnam with the aim of promoting culture, tourism and educational activities. The contest was originally scheduled to take place in 2019 but had to be delayed twice because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
