The Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association’s chapter in Ho Chi Minh City (VCFA HCMC) will continue to promote people-to-people diplomacy activities to increase understanding between the people of Vietnam and Cuba as well as between HCM City and Cuban localities in particular, contributing to further intensifying the special relations between the two countries. UN Recognizes Lunar New Year as a Public Holiday

The United Nations (UN) has officially recognized the Lunar New Year as a floating holiday in its calendar of conferences and meetings starting from 2024. In a resolution, the UN General Assembly acknowledges the importance of the Lunar New Year, which is celebrated in many UN member states. Archbishop Marek Zalewski, who joined the diplomatic service of the Holy See in 1995, has served in various countries. He was appointed as the Apostolic Nuncio to Singapore and the non-resident Papal Representative in Vietnam in 2018. Book Street in Thu Duc City to open in Ho Chi Minh City next week

The Ho Thi Tu Street Book Street, situated in Hiep Phu Ward, is set to open from December 22nd to January 1st, treating visitors with a range of music performances, cultural activities, and engaging programs. The annual TasteAtlas rankings are based on a total of 395,205 dish ratings and 115,660 food product ratings, which were considered to determine the top culinary experiences worldwide. Italy secured the top spot in the list, followed by Japan in second place and Greece in third. Two representatives from Southeast Asia made it to the top 20, with Indonesia ranking sixth and Thailand coming in at 17th. Preparations for Global Rice Festival Completed
